I've played about 11 MMOs and not one of them did not have race restrictions, their appearance and what they could do. 2 of those games this one and 1 other did not have what they could do as a restriction.
So I take you are giving up MMOs and all single player games where you have more than one race?

I understand that most people are ok with the new looks but a lot aren't. There's more theads about this; it has been mentioned a lot of times in the Sisi feedback threads and there's a proposal in the assembly hall with over 100 support votes already.
As for you questing my compassion and empathy which I see you have now edited out.
I was one of the ones putting a case across for allowing people to choose from their bloodline again.
If I could have found the thread that those posts were in they would have answered that compassion/empathy comment of yours better. But it's like looking for a needle in a haystack with the amount of threads that have been generated lately.

Yes I removed that because I recognized your name! I just didn't understand your comment in the light of your previous posts.
Well that's my fault, I should have explained where I was coming from better. Always the danger when you wake up and are not fully switched on, just need more coffee.

Originally by: Andreus Ixiris No, the thing is, I don't want to change my bloodline. I want to have access to all the clothing options and hairstyle options on my current bloodline - and more importantly, I want everyone to have that same freedom of choice on every bloodline.
There is no logical reason why a member of a bloodline could not style his hair in certain ways or not buy certain clothes. That just doesn't make sense. Race-locking certain facial shape and skin tone variables makes sense, but restricting art assets in this way is illogical and frankly counterproductive.
The reason they restrict what bloodlines/races can do (n/a to this game) and look like is to keep a seperate identity for each, so not everyone looks the same.
They could keep adding clothes, hairstyle etc. but there would never be enough to keep people looking different without imposing restrictions. Same clothes different colours, but they really just look the same.

This argument doesn't really hold water. Have you looked at portraits lately? Everyone already looks the same, and the less options each bloodline has, the more people will look the same.
I have and there's plenty of very good and different looking portraits. Although can't honestly say I like yours much at the moment.
Not all the items have made it into the game yet, I suspect it was a time issue. So it would be safe to assume in the future that we will be able to customise bloodlines/races further.
If the choice is make people have more choices now and lose race/bloodline identity.
Or wait so that they have more time to add more character customisation and keep bloodline/race identity seperate.
Then personally I'd rather wait.

We lost the majority of "race/bloodline identity" the moment our characters stopped looking like cartoonish charicatures and started looking like human beings.
What is so important about "race/bloodline identity" anyway?
Actually going from cartoonish to more real looking is not losing identity, if anything it's actually giving them more identity. If everyone made them look the same then yes there would be no individual identity as far as looks go, but that holds true to the old system too.
Sounds to me you might have some underlying racial issues. You have to be comfortable with the characters you play.
We are not going to go back to the old system and they won't just change it because you want them to.
So you really only have two choices:
1) accept it for what it is at the moment and see when new items/styles are added.
2) Do something else.
Assuming you are not just trolling of course.

I might be nice in general (more of a choice really) but I'm no pushover.

I kind of understand the op he's got a point. The new cc is very limited.I was messing with the cc trying other races on an empty slot and I noticed that you get two pair of pants to chose from. Two!?!
Not only that but none match any of the shirt colors you can use.
The long female hair styles look really bad and colors are very limited as one bloodline in caldari can't even pick black to hide the bugged out hair.
The shoes are very limited and colors are off again not matching pants or shirt really. The pictures show a different coler than you get as well.
Theres an aisian character in every race yet only one black character which is minmatar lol. What if your black and don't happen to be minmatar?
The limitations on bloodlines which no longer have an impact on the game just tops it off. This is something that bothers me too and if I hadn't been playing this game so long I'd quit too.In an rpg the looks of your character are very important to some.
The new cc is great but because of some dumb choices and limitations along with a few bugs,If I had to rate it it would get no more than 5/10 as is.
Don't think anyone is saying it does not have limitations, but you have to remember it's still a work-in-progress.
